Author, educator, designer, et. al., Karlin is the founder of C. S. Knightliesch Associates, LLC, and is the creative mind behind the organization. He has served in many roles within the organization, and currently serves as the Business Operational Services Superintendent (B.O.S.S.) for the Office of Special Projects and Stretegic Services. He is also currently the Principal of Pegicis Prep/E.D. and acting Chief of Staff for C. S. Knightliesch.

Legally recognized as "Patrick McLaw," Karlin uses the name "Dr. Karlin Patrick S. Sayyad-Voltaerovijc" professionally. He is more widely recognized by the abbreviated version of his pseudonym, "Dr. K. S. Voltaer," (and sometimes even more informally as "Dr. V.") a name under which he has written and published seven (7) novels. Karlin received international attention as well as professional and personal scrutiny in 2014 for his debut novel The Insurrectionist, a book he authored in 2011 while attending Salisbury University.

Outside of the UniverCity, Karlin is a licensed educator and CDL holder, and has served in a variety of professional capacities, including a Professional Driver, secondary English teacher, Department Chair, Lead Teacher, Instructional Coach, Acting Assistant Principal, Media Production Manager, and organizational fixer.

Within his role at C. S. Knightliesch, Karlin is the creative mind behind this organization. With a skill set that has not only greatly attributed to the organization's growth and development, but has simultaneously become its most critical asset, nearly every facet of C. S. Knightliesch has his imprint on it. Over the years, Karlin has grown the company's architectural simulations project, Dälhaus UniverCity, from one building, to nearly a dozen, increased the publishing house's publications, and expanded the form and function of the organization to include education and training programs, and consultation, including the Pegicis Prep/E.D. programs.

Currently, Karlin serves as the Lead Principal of The Pegicis Institute, which includes the Pegicis Prep and E.D. programs. Pegicis is the business development and consultation arm of C. S. Knightliesch. With Pegicis, Karlin has extended his experience within the K-12 education industry into the private sector, coaching, teaching, and developing indivduals who desire to lead their own organizations. At C. S. Knightliesch (but with Pegicis more specifically), Karlin believes in taking an "Excellence without Excuses" approach, providing comprehensive, solutions-based consultations where excellence is uncompromised.
